Goofy Stuff
This page is meant to be a collection of the wierdest things that I come across. They also happen to be some of the funniest things that I come across. Just look at the names. 'Nuff said.
- General Silliness
- The Bastard Operator From
Hell - This is my new favorite site. It's a very long series of short
stories about a Systems Admin who's a real prick. A guy at the Help Desk
showed me this site, and let me tell you, it's everything that I wish I
could do sometimes. No offense to any of you non-computer people, but
sometimes you can be pretty freakin' stupid. It really is funny though.
- BOFH-style
Excuse Server - I found this code when looking through BOFH
websites. It's just like a webpage version of the excuse book used by The
Bastard Operator From Hell himself! A definite must-see for fans. I
liked it so much (not to mention the fact that it's a perl script for me
to play with) that I decided to host my own little mirror.
- Funny E-Bay Listing - I saw this actual
E-Bay
listing after a buddy showed it to me. I thought it was so funny that I
pulled down my own copy to post here in case E-Bay takes it down. I'm
surprised somone actually bid on it...
- The Famed Deathclock - This fun little page is supposed to tell you when you're going to die. It actually just takes your sex and average life expectancy, subtracts your age, and gives you a countdown in seconds.
- Temple ov thee Lemur - This place is
run by a bunch of funny guys who are into computer stuff. Their Potato
Webserver, and Project E.U.N.U.C.H. are famous. Check them out!
- Making Fun of "Real-People"
- Multimedia Mayhem
- Awesome Matrix-Style Shockwave Fight Scene
- While this isn't really goofy, it's still very awesome with incredible
effects. My helpdesk buddy Andy clued me into this.
- All Your Base... - While we're on the whole
"Shockwave thing" I figured I'd pull out this gem from the "All Your Base
Are Belong To Us" craze.
- Hyakugojyuuichi
- A silly web craze...if anyone can tell me what it's supposed to mean,
please drop me a line...I'll be over here scratching my eyes
out... Actually, this was done by a 14 year-old kid who enjoys making fun
of singing Japanese people. Go figure.
- Gellato Chocalato - Well, it seems that
the Shockwave craze now also involves making fun of Latin music. I'm all
about watching this, cause it's funnier then that wierd Japanese thing
above.
- Troops - This is a Star Wars / COPS Spoof. Some people have too much time on
their hands, but it sure is funny.
- Winnie The Pooh Worshiping Satan - This is a must see! Definitely the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.
- What? - I
don't know
what this is. It's just random, and I'm personally disturbed by how funny
I think it is.
- The Ebonics Airline
Commercial - One of the all-time greatest comedy soundclips
ever!
- "Bad Guys" -
A picture of my good friend
Russ and Me when we played the gangsters in "Kiss Me Kate." This was the best part I've ever had, and it was really good that I got to play opposite a friend I've had since Elementary School.
- Goofy Things I've Done
- JavaScript Random Chinese Restaurant Name Generator - This is a funny little program that was written by a friend of mine who noticed that all Chinese Restaurants use the same phrases in their names. He decided to have fun with this idea by randomly generating such names from a pool of phrases. First written as an Excel program, I decided to port it to JavaScript and put it up on the web.
- New and Improved PHP/JavaScript "Captain
Underpants"
Name Generator -
Another goofy program originally written by my friend. For all those familiar with the "Captain Underpants" children's
books, this program uses the naming system from those books to create a "Captain Underpants" name for you
automatically. This one, like the Chinese Restaurant Name Generator, was
originally written as an Excel Program, but was ported by me to JavaScript. Later, this became the first program that I
re-wrote in PHP.
